2 Kings 18: 5-7 - Hezekiah trusted in the LORD, the God of Israel. There was no one like him among all the kings of Judah, either before or after his time. He remained faithful to the LORD in everything, and he carefully obeyed all the commands the LORD had given Moses. So the LORD was with him, and Hezekiah was successful in everything he did... (NLT)

Isaiah 38:1-5 - About that time Hezekiah became deathly ill, and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to visit him. He gave the king this message: “This is what the LORD says: ‘Set your affairs in order, for you are going to die. You will not recover from this illness.’”

When Hezekiah heard this, he turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD, “Remember, O LORD, how I have always been faithful to you and have served you single-mindedly, always doing what pleases you.” Then he broke down and wept bitterly.

Then this message came to Isaiah from the LORD: “Go back to Hezekiah and tell him, ‘This is what the LORD, the God of your ancestor David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will add fifteen years to your life... (NLT)

1 Timothy 2:3-4 - This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. (NIV)

Matthew 22:37-40 - Jesus replied, “‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments. (NLT)

Learning #1: God doesn’t want to be a piece of our life, He wants to be the center .

Philippians 4:7 - And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (NIV)

Hebrews 10:25 - And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. (NLT)

Learning #2: God wants us to connect with others .

Acts 2:46 - Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts... (NIV)

Acts 2:41 - Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all. (NLT)

Acts 2:42 - All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. (NLT)

Hebrews 6:1 - So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding... (NLT)

Learning #3: One of the things God uses to grow us is problems !

Learning #4: God wants us to contribute and to give something back .

Matthew 10:39 - Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it. (NIV)

1 Peter 4:10 - As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. (NKJV)

Psalm 116:12 - What can I offer the LORD for all he has done for me? (NLT)

Learning #5: God wants us to tell others about Him .

2 Corinthians 5:18 - And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. (NLT)
